Columbia Economic Development Corporation plans to relocate its office later this month to better accommodate staff and clients.  The new office will be located at One Hudson City Centre, Suite 301 in Hudson.

“An efficient and professional work environment is an important component of CEDC’s ability to help businesses seeking CEDC’s assistance”, said President Mike Tucker. “We made an extensive review of the commercial office space available to lease in the Hudson/Greenport areas.  What ultimately drew us to One Hudson City Centre was the ability to accommodate staff, provide easier access for clients, and an abundance of available parking.”

The 2,100 square foot office space will also allow for more public participation during board and committee meetings, as well as better accommodate CEDC programs, meetings and events.

CEDC provides a wealth of services to both start-up and existing businesses seeking to grow in Columbia County. From technical assistance and low cost financing, to business retention and expansion services, CEDC can also help access financial incentive programs at the local, state, and federal level.

“As a nonprofit business focused organization, it is important to invest in a space that helps CEDC staff thrive as they serve the business community,” stated Board Chair David Fingar. “We’re confident that we’ve found that balance with our new space and look forward to welcoming our members, stakeholders and the business community to our new location.”

“We are pleased to welcome CEDC to One Hudson City Centre,” stated Columbia County Board of Supervisors Chairman Matt Murell.  “This relocation will provide better access to CEDC’s exceptional services, programs and resources.  We look forward to watching CEDC grow in their new home.”

“I continue to be encouraged by the momentum of public and private investments we’re experiencing in the City of Hudson,” remarked Hudson Mayor Rick Rector.  “We are appreciative of CEDC’s commitment to job growth and economic development activities.  Their relocation to One Hudson City Centre is a welcomed addition.”

CEDC expects to be moved into its new offices at One Hudson City Centre, Suite 301, by the end of September. Until then, please continue to reach them by visiting 4303 Route 9, or by calling 518-828-4718.
