According to the NYS Department of Labor, Columbia County continued to have the lowest unemployment rate of any county in the state in October. The County’s unemployment rate of 2.7% is its lowest since October 1998, when a 2.5% rate was reported. The statewide unemployment rate of 4.0% matched the lowest rate on record.
