CEDC is excited to announce the Microenterprise Grant for 2024!
The Columbia County Board of Supervisors, in partnership with the Columbia Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) and the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce (CCCC), is boosting small business in Columbia County with the Columbia Forward Microenterprise Grant.
Eligibility and Requirements:
- Businesses must have five or fewer employees, including the owner(s) at the time of submitting an application.
- Businesses must commit to creating one or more new jobs either offered or made to individuals from low to moderate income households, unless the owner falls into the low to moderate income category.
- Businesses must complete a four-session training program.
- Business owner(s) must have a minimum credit score of 600, exceptions made on a case-by-case basis.
- Business or business owner(s) must not be in default on any obligation.
Grant information:
- Grant funds may only be spent on working capital and non-construction related expenses including, inventory, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and/or technology.
- Businesses must contribute 10% equity to the total cost of project.
- Grants will be provided as a reimbursement after the project is complete.
- Grants of up to $25,000 are available.
