(June 6, 2018) – The Columbia County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) and the Capital Resource Corporation (CRC) have elected Carmine (Cappy) Pierro of Taghkanic as Chairman of both Boards.
Carmine Pierro has been a member of the Columbia County IDA and CRC Board of Directors since June 2016. He replaces James Mackerer, former senior vice president of commercial lending at Kinderhook Bank, who stepped down from the IDA and CRC in December 2017 after 7 years of service.
Carmine Pierro is retired from a local automobile dealership where he had a 30+ year career. His community service is extensive, having dedicated years of service to the City of Hudson. Positions held include Chairman of the City of Hudson Planning Board, 5th Ward Alderman, Aide to the Mayor, Project Manager for the City of Hudson Central Fire Station and Police Commissioner.
In addition, Carmine has served on several boards and committees including the City of Hudson Common Council’s Legal, Finance, Police, Fire and Youth Committees; and the Hudson Development Corporation (HDC) and Hudson Community Development and Planning Agency (HCDPA) Board of Directors.
Carmine Pierro joins officers Sidney Richter (Vice Chairman), Sarah Sterling (Secretary), Robert Galluscio (Treasurer), Bill Gerlach (Ethics Officer) and Board Member Brian Keeler.
